Although Corben Sharrah raced as a kid on our former BMX team, we were still surprised when he contacted us just months before the 2016 Olympic Trials. What he wanted seemed simple enough. It was anything but that — an aluminum frame as stiff as the carbon bikes he had been sponsored to ride, but with aluminum’s livelier and smoother ride characteristics. Six months later, his track times faster than ever, Corben raced the first ever ARC frame in the Olympic Games saying, “Daylight exceeded my every expectation”.

PROPRIETARY HYDROFORMED TUBING
Our small frame ARC c1 and larger frame ARC c2 hydroformed tube sets have been crafted into two of the most striking, sleekest silhouettes to have ever graced a race track. Everything about their design is right, at once classic and cutting edge — a modern geometry and lower center of gravity that is in perfect alignment with today’s advanced rider skills and more technical tracks. Internally tapered tube walls are thicker at the weld junctions and thinner in the middle. Together with its massive down tube, large diameter flared seat tube, and triangulated top tube this is one powerful race machine. Yes, it does take longer to build and costs more than the standard round tube alloy frames, but as the only U.S. built hydroformed BMX race frame out there, it rides as good as it looks.
DIME STACKED AMERICAN WELDING
This is truly a dying art form in the bike world, but at Daylight we continue to demand hand built perfection. No ground smooth welds or thick paint to hide our process as our thin ceramic coatings reveal one precision dime stacked weld after another. Even more critical is what’s beneath those welds — less than 1mm of gap between tube junctions for unmatched strength that also builds unwavering confidence.
MACHINED VERTICAL DROP-OUT SYSTEM
Experience the ARC’s vertical sliding drop-outs on the track and in your workshop and you’ll never go back to a horizontal slot rear drop-out. Other frames responded with fixed rear axles and idler spring arms to solve disc brake mount, axle creep and drive-train alignment issues, but even those with some wheel base adjustment simply don’t give you much compared to the width of our large “drop-slot” — without the dangling idler and the excess chain. Our integrated disc caliper mount, stainless (or optional titanium) chain ring style slider bolts and “drop-saver” frame washers, and integrated titanium 4mm tensioner screws make the ARC the most precise in BMX for achieving perfect chain alignment/tension and the easiest to remove and reinstall a rear wheel with no readjustment necessary. The definition of beautiful form and superior function!
CERAMIC PAINTED FRAME PARTS
You’ve seen it certainly and if you’re made it to this point we’re assuming it caught your eye. We call it The Daylight Look — our clean two-color ceramic paint design where the color of the frame parts are painted to match the frame graphics or integrated into a more complex frame/bike design concept. In addition to our machined sliding vertical drop-outs, both our machined quick release seat clamp and premium tapered sealed bearing headset also come ceramic painted with every frame.
T47 BOTTOM BRACKET
While most BMX race bikes made today still run the same old plays, with an offense built around the standard BSA threaded 68mm bottom bracket shell, we decided to go wide — really wide with our 86.5mm T47 shell to fit our oversized hydroformed down tube and low and wide chain stays for maximum stiffness and power transfer. Its precision machined bearing bores come pressed with premium bearings and CNC machined bearing covers, race ready for any standard 24mm or 30mm spindle crank set.
QUICK RELEASE SEAT CLAMP
When is a seat clamp more than a seat clamp? When it’s the perfect detail atop your Daylight frame — bridging front and rear frame triangles with the graphics color and a touch of the primary frame color on the adjuster knob. At 34.9mm for our oversized seat tube and CNC machined with a large but light thumb lever, it holds tight but let’s go easy for changing to your Moonbeam extended post between rounds.

The 26″ Landslide

Control the race with our 26″ race cruiser built to roll over the competition! While our Timeline is a 26″ dirt jumper built for a suspension fork and big air, the Landslide is a pure BMX race machine built for big race moves — with all the same features as our 20″ & 24″ ARC frames, designed for a rigid BMX fork and standard BMX hubs and components. With its 23.25″ top tube and 40.15″ wheel base, it’s built for big guys to race and people of all sizes to have fun on.

SIZING – FIND THE PERFECT FIT
There are a lot of variables aside from height that go into choosing the perfect size frame such as riding style, weight, aggressiveness, etc. Because of this, there is a height range for each size on our charts. The key metric to actually fitting a frame is the reach. This is the horizontal distance from the center of the bottom bracket to the center top of the head tube. Top tube length, seat angle, and other dimensions have little to do with fit since you won’t be sitting down. All of the geomentry dimensions besides reach have to do with performance and ride quality, not rider size. As you compare frames for you or your child, keep the reach measurement foremost in your mind. Below is a full chart of the Daylight size offering.
20″ x 1-1/8 – 1-3/8″
These bikes feature our smaller, lighter tube set and are geared toward 5-12 year olds.
20″ x 1.5-2.125″
These bikes feature our larger tubeset and are designed for riders 13 year old to adults.
24 & 26″ Cruisers
These bikes feature our larger tubeset and are designed for riders 9 year old to adults.
